A secure grille can still belong to the house
Security is usually the first concern, but a successful grille must also respect ventilation, opening movement and the appearance of the building. That is why it is designed as part of the location rather than as an isolated object.
Understand the point being protected
A fixed window, a daily-use door and a full frontage have different access and support conditions. The purpose must be clear before selecting a pattern.
Spacing and anchors work together
Bar layout influences both strength and appearance. The fixing points have to suit the real wall or frame supporting the grille.
Daily use must remain comfortable
Where a grille opens, hinges, locks and travel should follow normal circulation. Security loses value if the system is awkward and ends up being used incorrectly.
