A security door reinforced from its locks to its anchoring
Juan Manuel Casalins needed a security door measuring 180 cm high by 120 cm wide, whose reinforcement went beyond its outward appearance. The project combines a steel frame, expanded metal, two locking points and through-threaded-rod anchoring. The real workshop photograph documents the piece during painting and finishing.
Security has to be designed as a system
The frame, infill, locks, hinges and fixing points need to work together. Reinforcing only the door leaf would have limited value if the closure or anchoring were treated as an afterthought.
This 180 cm high by 120 cm wide custom build integrates every component from the fabrication stage so alignment and fit can be checked before installation.
Expanded metal closes the opening without creating a solid wall
Expanded metal creates a continuous steel surface while retaining ventilation and visibility. Its edges and contact with the frame need a clean, even fit.

Two locks create separate closing points
Both locks need to line up with their receivers and operate without forcing the frame. Their position is coordinated with the opening direction and the rest of the structure during fabrication.
Through-threaded-rod anchoring reaches beyond the surface
The specified anchoring passes through the supporting point instead of relying only on a surface fixing. The final installation still has to respond to the actual wall, frame or structure at the property.
